Situated just across the causeway from Shepparton, Mooroopna has an identity all of its own. It is known as the Fruit Salad City.

Mooroopna is nestled amongst the orchards familiar throughout the Greater Shepparton region.

Recognised for its relaxed pace and country feel, Mooroopna hosts the annual Fruit Salad Day in February, where donated local fresh fruit and vegetables are sold in abundance with the proceeds of the sales being donated to local charities.

Located between Mooroopna and Shepparton, Gemmills Swamp is a wildlife reserve that encompasses 170 hectares of Red Gum floodplain forest and Tall Spike Rush wetlands. It is not uncommon to see a breathtaking array of pelicans, ibis, swans, egrets and ducks habituating in and around Gemmills Swamp as it provides a unique and diverse environment.

The extensive bike and walking paths that are known throughout Greater Shepparton extend to Mooroopna where you can experience the friendliness and hospitality that Moorooopna has to offer.
